6-2 Blog Marketing Perspective

To say the least, after watching the "60 minutes Transcript" I noticed a few influencers I have seen on social media and one of them being Logan Paul. His way of marketing himself was very unique and he was giving the people what they wanted by putting out the content he did. He talks about net worth and how much an internet star is worth but he says that none of them know how much they are really worth because of how new this internet fame really is.

Type of Marketing

This type of marketing is a short and sweet tactic that grabs the audience attention right off the bat. They bounce off of other topics and ideas to form their own and manipulate it which grabs the attention of the audience. This is a new style of marketing in today's world which not only benefits them but benefits the company that they are doing it about. For example, Andrew Bachelor made a joke about the new Batman movie to the interviewer which was a prime example of how they do it. He made him laugh in six seconds which had to do with the movie.

Strategies

The strategies that these influencers use are humor and they use social media mentions. They advertise themselves using a product or they advertise themselves involving a certain brand, topic, or entertainment source. This draws the audience into doing the same thing that they do simply because they are doing it. They also use humor as a marketing strategy because it draws the attention of the audience in to keep watching them. Just about every influencer uses these strategies to become bigger.

Role

The role that these influencers play are basically unofficial ambassadors of these companies or products. They start out advertising things they like and they eventually earn sponsorships depending on their social statuses and their popularity. Usually if they have a good status the company will work business with them. With social media influencers that is how things usually work when it comes to business.

Marketing Perspective

The marketing perspective usually impacts the company and the consumer by boosting each other's popularity. If the social media influencer uses a certain brand of a product and the consumer sees that then the consumer will start to use that brand and tell all of their friends about it which not only boosts the popularity of the social media influencer, but it boosts the brand of that product as well.
